This is a new author to my reading list. She's been around for quite a few years and has quite a few book titles under her belt. She is a inspirational novelist, I've heard her mentioned several times over the years by friends and family. I've just never picked one up for some reason. You can read her all about her here.
Well, that has all changed for me now. I saw a ad in a magazine for Shades of Blue and then saw another mention of it in a newspaper type magazine I picked up at my library with a bunch of new titles in it. It peaked my interest again, I logged on to my libraries website and put it on hold and began to wait for my turn. I didn't have to wait long actually and I have to say WOW. I will definitely be reading more of her books.
Is it sad someone asked? Yes, it was in some parts. But then it was so uplifting in other parts. It was about trials & tribulations and keeping faith in God.

I tried to leave a comment on this one the other day, but it didn't go through. I've heard of Shades of Blue, but I'd like to hear more about it from someone who's read it. Is it sad and really into exploring emotions?
It is definitely into exploring your emotions. Exploring your trust & relationship with God too.

Wow- if you like Karen K. you are in for a treat with her Baxter series books... oh my- there are like 11 or 12 of them... she's on her third "series" of stories that involve this family. It starts with the Redemption Series, then goes to Firstborn Series and then now it is in the Sunrise Series... should give you a TON of reading material!! Very FAST and easy (but enjoyable) reads. You could whip through them in no time.
